4. WORKSHOPS:


- The two workshops on reading from a script to an audience have now finished, thank you to everyone for attending. There may be another round later in the year – information on the workshops from Philippa Hammond via Facebook or Elena Saorin.

Gary Meptsed may hold a 90 minute screenplay course later in the year and will hopefulyl be runnign another advanced scriptwriting workshop after a short break.

- MovieBar, it's on Monday 4th April at the Cornerstone, 8pm. The quiz will be about films featuring monkeys. There's a real mix of films this month, including music videos, short comedies and drama/thrillers. All 6 of the films will be followed by a Q&A by the director or someone from the crew. 6. FILM CHALLENGES:
- News from the 48 Hour Film Challenge screening in Leeds, where they showed the films in the same running order as the Brighton screening: 20-25 people attended, and a few of the cast/crew from BBC's Frankenstein Wedding came in and watched the films while eating their dinner. A good start and everyone enjoyed the films and are looking forward to the next challenges !

We would love to start getting members more involved with generating online content when the new website is up and running. The kind of thing we are looking for is perhaps a small article on some of the best websites for scriptwriting information and advice or an article on how to use crowd funding sites. 8. GENERAL INFO & NEW PEOPLE:
- Crimson Horse Theatre is currently casting Franz Kafka's 'The Trial'. As usual, see the Facebook page Crimson Horse Theatre Castings for details.

- Thomas Everchild and Philippa Hammond are presenting sessions in this year's Critical Incident all-day event on 18th June at Phoenix Gallery,  Brighton. See www.thecriticalincident.com for details of workshops, poetry and other events on the theme of 'Connection' as they are included.

- Doug Devaney presents 'No Particular Place to Go' at the Lectern, Lewes Road,  Wednesday 30th March to Saturday 2nd April. Doors open 7:45, Performance at 8:30. Tickets are £5 each, available either on the door or pre-bookable

- New member Theresa Barratt arrived in Brighton in October from the West Country. She is interested in acting, singing and writing, having acted since childhood, and has done a lot of art, video and drama as a Youth worker plus some film/video acting. Also has some experience with makeup and costume.
