5. FESTIVALS, COMPETITIONS AND SCREENINGS:

- The next MovieBar will take place 7.30pm Monday 1st of August at its new home upstairs in the Caroline of Brunswick. The line-up features a few films made by or with the help of BFC members, including Anthony Carpendale's three trailers produced for the 48 hour film challenge and Andy Nicholls' epic and ambitious short Straight Out. There will also be a premiere of Jenny Ringo and the Monkey's Paw - a horror comedy made by  BFC co-head and MovieBar organiser Chris Regan.

- As a result of the film challenge, there are now seven short films in production, centred around dialogue, to be completed by Monday 15th August. They are:

Weekly Bulletin 03/06/11

Sorry this is a bit late - Jason Davison and myself (Chris Regan) have taken over running the Coalition as of last Sunday so there may be a few delays while we get our heads around how things work. For the next few weeks at least everything should proceed as normal, with the usual Sunday meetings taking place every week at the Marwood at 6pm and weekly bulletins hopefully going out on time. - Partho Sen-Gupta is also lookign for funding for his film and has raised $21,000 out of $35,000
- I would also like to take this opportunity to say good bye to Adrian, Emma and Jill who did a fantastic job over the last few years shaping the Brighton Filmmakers Coalition into what it is today. We wish them all the best of luck with their future endeavors!
